Seabass in the Classroom (SITC) is thrilled to welcome our newest school into the program, Sycamore Middle School! This weekend as part of the schools Fishing Program, students received 25 White Seabass. They weighed, measured, and tagged these fish then put them into their brand new recirculating aquaculture system.

Students were joined for the day by their principal, the Superintendent of Anaheim Union High School District, the Mayor of Anaheim! Students will care for these fish for the remainder of the semester until they are large enough to release into the ocean. We're thrilled to be expanding the program to a new school and especially grateful for the hard work of the teachers at Sycamore who in addition to supporting our seabass program, are helping these students learn more about responsible fishing and conservation! We're also grateful to IGFA Representative, Sally for her introduction and partnership brining this school on board! Welcome to the SITC family Sycamore!
