In 2000, Kevin Stuart obtained his Masters degree in aquaculture, fisheries and wildlife from Clemson University. After leaving Clemson, he began working the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) in Charleston as a research biologist. While at the SCDNR, Kevin was part of the red drum (Sciaenops ocellatus) stock enhancement program, helped to initiate the black sea bass (Centropristis striata) and cobia (Rachycentron canadum) larval and juvenile rearing projects, and assisted with summer flounder (Paralichthys lethostigma) rearing. In 2003, he came to Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute and has since been focused on improving larval and juvenile rearing for California yellowtail (Seriola lalandi), California halibut (Paralichthys californicus), white seabass (Atractoscion nobilis), and California sheephead (Semicossyphus pulcher).
